How to work with the moon? The moon goes through 8 phases in her month cycle, during the 1-(New Moon) it is advised to set your intentions and feel them in your body; while the moon is visibly growing 2-(Waxing Crescent) you can hold your intention and have patience, breath; during the 3-(First Quarter), you can make firm decisions that support your intentions; during 4-(Waxing Gibbous), You trust that your intentions will be fulfilled at the right time; during the 5-(Full Moon), you follow through with your intentions in the now, or you realize that maybe it was not the best time, you let it go and take the correct path, during the 6-(Waning Gibbous) you can feel gratitude about your manifesting intentions, feel grateful that your intentions are materializing in the right way, you receive in gratitude and joy, during the 7-(Third Quarter), you receive your intentions and you return it with abundance back to the universe, during the 8-(Waning Crescent) You shine with gratitude, rest and reflect on new undertakings. Establish a positive thematic based on your feelings, next moon cycle focus on yourself.

New Moon Rituals of Transformation, it is the moon of death and resurrection, spiritual transformation, of karma and past lives. Use it to invoke protection and destroy evil in general. This phase gives maximum power to work inward. This is a time for introspection and awakenings.

Meditate on what you need to let go of, in order to move forward with your life; let go and let die, let go, let go and proceed, with the ritual that most suits you, while giving thanks and saying goodbye. Then return whatever died back to nature, be aware of what at that very moment he is born. Meditate on the content, time of reading, time to welcome, welcome the new and celebrate.

First Quarter - Summoning Rituals, is time to awaken desire, invoke the things we want to heal in our life. This is a time for beginnings and developments.

Full Moon - Rituals of Celebration, use this is the Moon expansion and fullness. Use it to invoke the positive things: prosperity, abundance, love, fertility, creativity. It is the moon to celebrate with the maximum energy to act out, dance, sing, and celebrate. This is a time for fullness, maturity and completion. Celebrate as appropriate to the moon of the month.

Full Moon - Removal Rituals, use this Moon is to expel and destroy vices, and negative habits, use the energy to break unwanted patterns, evil thoughts and negative attitudes. The full light of the full moon of the previous week symbolized by the later awareness, our minds scattered our knowledge and we reached a point where we need to find out what works for us and what does not. To get rid of what no longer serves us, that what is not useful or necessary in our lives, everything that is ready for disposal. This time is conducive to destroy spells, curses, evil desires.

This is not the best time to start a big project, like the light of the decline of the moon symbolizes a descent into unconsciousness. It's time to start finalizing the details of what had been conceived in the last New Moon.

Meditate on what you have to get rid of. Proceed with the most appropriate ritual as appropriate.

The Moon is one of the most magical of the heavenly bodies. One of my first experiences with magic was a simple Moon ritual, but I remember the awe of the clouds parting to reveal the full Moon as we called to it. Feeling its silver light shine down upon our group somehow awakened something within me, something primal, as I thought of my Stone Age ancestors looking to the Moon for guidance. I was moved to follow the path of the Moon and learn more.

Technically not a planet in the strictest astronomical terms, it is viewed as a planet astrologically and magically. As the moon moves through its cycles, only one side can be seen illuminated, retaining its mysteries and secrets from us. The surface of the Moon is not covered by atmosphere, so any craters created are not worn away by erosion. The ancients associate the Moon with our emotional and karmic memory, where everything is retained. Air and atmosphere are symbols of the mind, reason and logic. The Moon’s magic influences none of these, focusing on the emotional issues of the element of water. It is by far the closest body to the Earth and exerts a great deal of power. Visually it looks quite large in the sky, though in actuality we know it is much smaller, particularly when compared to its fellow luminary, the Sun. Magically it plays an equal role with the power of the Sun due to this optical illusion. With the Moon, appearances can be deceiving, and one must always be vigilant with perceptions. The Moon card in the Tarot is often associated with illusions and falsehoods. The Moon reflects the light of the Sun, not generating its own light, inspiring reflection and introspection.

The gravity of the Moon influences the tides of Earth’s oceans. More subtly, the Moon pulls on the water in our bodies, and the etheric and astral bodies, increasing intuition, energy and sometimes craziness, giving rise to the word lunacy. Anyone who works with the general public or medical profession can usually attest to unusual activity the nights of the full Moon. Astrologically the Moon “rules” or influences the sign of the crab, Cancer, as the ocean mother. Cancer is obviously connected to the ocean, but through the symbol of motherhood. Cancer is the protective nourishing Mother. The Moon also rules the parts of the body that hold water and life, associated with motherhood. The breast and womb are ruled by the Moon, as well as the stomach, for the stomach and digestive system is the source of life and nourishment. The chakra of the Moon is the second, or belly chakra.

Ritual

A fun and simple ritual to attune yourself to the Moon is Moon bathing. At the next full Moon, simply sit outside in the direct light of the Moon. Meditate, pray or simply relax, basking the in the light of the Moon. Most people who resonate with the Moon will carry with them this refreshing, energizing and creative energy in the days to come.

Magic and psychic powers are primary, so the Moon can influence almost any type of magic or divination. Goddess energy and feminine power are strong with the Moon, as well as emotions, intuition and karmic memory. Illusions, perceptions, crossroads, dreams, animals, protection and change are all in the realm of the Moon.

Although you can plan your rituals by the phase of the Moon, or by planning them on the Moon’s day, Monday.

The ritual of the new moon is to clean the negatives of past relationships, increase self love and let go of dead weight that does not allow us to open ourselves to true love and have a new start, a new life in love with ourselves and the world around us. This ceremony is special for all those people who feel they have been injured in a previous relationship, or have not yet found true love. This rite should be practiced outdoors at night and need to do:

-Some sage.

-A container in which to burn the sage.

- A sheet of paper.

-A pencil.

-A thick white candle.

-A bowl of water.

First you write on paper the sentence "I call upon the power of the new moon, to clean the negative energies that disrupt the flow of true love in my life and to attract a person who loves me with loyalty and tenderness." Then fold the paper into four parts and put under the bowl with sage. Place the candle in the middle of the two bowls (the sage and water). Sage and lights the candle (you can put the candle on a plate to prevent wax from going anywhere). Let the candle consume, sage while you stay silent meditation. You can sit in a chair or on the floor, where it is more comfortable for you.

Meditation

White color, butterfly image.

Today the Moon is still in its powerful state, its maximally glints the Sun light. So you can also swim along the moon-glade. You can meditate on filling by the Moon light. Lay down, relax and start to visualize: picture yourself laying on the beach, hearing the sounds of tidal bore, the starry arch, huge Moon that lights all around. You see the moon light blinking on the water, the Moon halo that covers all visible part of the sky. You feel harmony, relaxed, no worries, no thoughts. Soon you began to feel the sun light touches your body and penetrate inside of it. This is Sun energy being transformed and cooled by reflecting from the Moon. You are filling from this flow more and more and became this Light. You breath with this light and feel how it calms all the cells of your body, how it calibrates all your inner flows, how it un-wrinkles your face and skin. Continue take it in until you feel enough. When finish the meditation thank the Moon and the reflected Sun Light. Rejuvenation procedures are favorable this day.

Fun facts: The dark side of the moon is a myth. In reality both sides of the Moon see the same amount of sunlight however only one face of the Moon is ever seen from Earth. This is because the Moon rotates around on its own axis in exactly the same time it takes to orbit the Earth, meaning the same side is always facing the Earth. The side facing away from Earth has only been seen by the human eye from spacecraft. The rise and fall of the tides on Earth is caused by the Moon. There are two bulges in the Earth due to the gravitational pull that the Moon exerts; one on the side facing the Moon, and the other on the opposite side that faces away from the Moon, The bulges move around the oceans as the Earth rotates, causing high and low tides around the globe. The Moon is drifting away from the Earth. The Moon is moving approximately 3.8 cm away from our planet every year. It is estimated that it will continue to do so for around 50 billion years. By the time that happens, the Moon will be taking around 47 days to orbit the Earth instead of the current 27.3 days.
